Mike Schneider (born November 29, 1983) is a professional poker player from Eagan, Minnesota who, at the age of 22, won the 'PartyPoker.com Million V' for $1,000,000. He is also a member of Team CardRunners a group of sponsored professional poker players on Full Tilt Poker.[1]
Schneider graduated from Eagan High School in 2002. As a saxophone player, he played in Eagan's Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in December 2006 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Poker career[edit]
In March 2006, he won the PartyPoker.com Million V Cruise event (limitTexas hold 'em) and the $1,000,000 first prize, defeating Kenna James in the final heads-up confrontation.[2]
In October 2006, Mike won the first event of the Fall Poker Classic hosted by Canterbury Park. In October 2007, Mike was the Fall Poker Classic's Player of the Year. In August 2008, Mike won the 'Twin Cities Poker Open' for $81,818.[3] In October 2012, Mike won Canterbury Park's first ever HORSE Event in their annual 'Fall Poker Classic' for $9894 and followed it up by winning the 2012 Fall Poker Classic main event for $63,759. In August 2014, Schneider won the Midwest Poker Classic event at Running Aces for $48,425.
As of 2014, Mike's live poker tournament winnings exceed $1,500,000.[4]
Schneider's poker nickname is 'Schneids'. He is regularly regarded as one of the top LHE players in the world.

The Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame is governed by a board consisting of poker industry professionals, poker players, and poker media. Dec 14, 2016 It’s a small Poker Hall of Fame that they have in Minnesota. Currently there are only four members of it – “Minneapolis” Jim Meehan, Blake Bohn, Lyle Berman, and Mike Schneider – all legends of poker in the state and further afield. Now a fifth guy is set to join the ranks of poker’s great.

Back on July 30, 2013, Canterbury Park Card Casino announced the establishment of the Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame to honor top poker players from the state and others that have played a key role in Minnesota's poker development.
'The Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame will celebrate the success of local poker players and recognize those that have positively contributed to the betterment of the game,' said Michael Hochman, Canterbury Park’s Senior Director of Casino Operations.

The original release about the formation of the Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame stated that the first inductees would be unveiled later in the year with the first induction to be held on Oct. 4. On Friday, Canterbury Park Card Casino announced that Lyle Berman became the first member of the Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame.

Berman's selection came of no surprise. The Minnesota native is a key industry professional, with many ties to several successful Minnesota businesses.
'Lyle is not only a fierce competitor at the highest limits, he completely and indelibly changed the world of poker when he co-founded the World Poker Tour,” said Hochman. 'We talked to a great deal of people about inaugural nominees into the Minnesota Poker Hall of Fame, and literally everyone’s first answer was Lyle Berman.'

Among Berman's poker accomplishments are three World Series of Poker bracelets, 16 WSOP cashes, and nearly $2.7 million in live tournament earnings.
